Shehzad Roy Sends Legal Notice to Coca-Cola Company for Intellectual Property Rights Infringement

Pakistan’s popular singer Shahzad Roy has decided to sue a famous company Coca-Cola. Shahzad Roy said in his press conference that the company in its “Sprite” brand commercial used Shahzad’s popular song “Laga Reh” of 2008.

Shahzad Roy’s ligation is that he has not legally allowed the company to use his song for sprite commercial 2017. On the other side company has used his song illegally that is against the copyrights rules.

According to the singer Shahzad, advertising company of Coca-cola “Soho square” contacts him for using is song Laga Reh in their commercial. For that purpose, his team and company discussed on an agreement but Shahzad didn’t allow them. Moreover, he said that he is overviewing on that particular agreement but the company finalized the commercial with his song and starts advertising that is not legal.
